Sri lanka National Museum

Today I am going to post about Sri lanka National Museum. Earlier, it was called The Colombo Museum, and it was established 1877 first of January. At this time, sri lanka is governed by British Government. . Sir William Henry Gregory was the British Governor of Sri Lanka at that time. He was the main founder for establish a museum. 

At this, current time is one of two museums in Colombo, and it is sri lanka largest museum. At this moment, it is maintained by the Department of National Museum.  The museum holds sri lanka ancient things such as regalia of the sri lankan past kings. Even it holds most important historical things. 

 

 

 

Bandarawela

Bandarawela is the most captivate city in the sri lanka. It is located Badulla district, uva province. You can reach to Bandarawela after passing 28 kms from Badulla city. Actually, Bandarawela has a mild weather, that why Bandarawela is most popular for spend the vacations. 

 If you want to go to Bandarawela, you can reach this popular venue by passing 200km from Sri lanka main city and about 125km away from Kandy.

 

 

 

Kande viharaya

When you're going through Colombo and Galle principal road, you can confront Kaluthara chief city. After pass kaluthara chief city you can reach Aluthgama chief city.

In this aluthgama main city, there is located the most popular temple among sri Lankans baddish people. This temple name is Kande viharaya it is a mean temple on the hill.  Actually, this most popular temple located at a top of the hill. Kande viharaya was established in 1734. This temple located place founded by Venerable Karapagala Dewamitta Thero.  

Word tallest sitting Buddha statue locate in this temple. It is 48m/160ft and it is visible to long distance.  New Image House is located under this statue and depicts many Jathaka stories and incidents related to the life of Load Buddha.
